For the past week, students have continued to work on their melting object sculptures that are inspired by Surrealism. As a class, we discussed different types of line and how they could utilize different lines in their pieces to create a melting effect.

Students learned about Surrealism and works of Dali and Livia Marin. As a class we talked about melting objects, and what makes an object appear to be melting. For their final projects, students will be incorporating the elements of Surrealism to create a "melting object out of clay". Students sketched their ideas, and then narrowed their sketches down to a final project.
