My teaching philosophy revolves around the concept of exploration and communication through student-centered learning in the arts. I believe that that art-making fosters relationships between students, which can transpire into the community outside of the classroom. We live in a visual world, and understanding the process of art-making as well as the process of critique allows students critically and thoughtfully look at the world that they live in.
As an art educator, it is my goal to motivate students to ask why and question the world around them. I believe as art educator, it is my role to build confidence in my students, and create leaders in my classroom.
